The horizontal section of the water inlet and outlet of the fan coil should not be too long. At the same time, a slope of 2 ‰ ~ 3 ‰ should be considered. The aspect can be divided into two cases: the first case is when the inlet and outlet pipes of the fan coil are higher than the main pipe of chilled water (air conditioning hot water) (Figure 2), when the horizontal branch pipe connected to the fan coil is installed, The inlet pipe should be installed against the slope and the outlet pipe should be installed along the slope. Air in the system is removed from the manual air release valve of the fan coil.
The second case is when the main water supply and return water pipe is higher than the water inlet and outlet of the fan coil. An automatic exhaust valve can be set on the main water supply and return pipe to empty the system. When the horizontal branch pipe is installed, the inlet pipe should be installed down the slope, and the outlet (return water) should be installed uphill. The air can be basically discharged from the exhaust valve of the main pipe.
